Delta (2022) Sculpture by Shane Holland

Delta is based on the curved, triangular, shapes, diminishing in size, in the proportion of the famous Fibonacci spiral. Half inch steel has been formed with small incremental bends on a 100 tonne brake press. The swivel bearing in Delta is a repurposed aviation part from industrial recyclers, and the half inch steel plate is designed around offcuts from a previous sculpture. The base on which Delta stands, is a reused ESB cable drum.

Delta is a contemporary piece, and would serve as a striking addition to any garden, outdoor space or interior.

Delta was exhibited at Sculpture in Context from the 1st September to the 7th of October 2022 in the National Botanic Gardens, Dublin. Delta is No.1 in a limited edition of 100. Each piece is signed and numbered by the artist.
