This artwork was painted with alkyd enamel on 4mm thick plywood panel attached to wooden bars. The surface is covered with few layers of resin so it is super smooth and glossy like a glass. This artwork ships in a wooden box made of 6or8mm thick plywood and the package weighs up to 8kg. The painting itself weighs 2.3kg. Ready to hang. The physical properties of the materials I use are important to me. Each new work is an experiment and the discovery of new physical properties. The paint poured onto the surface of the painting is nothing more than a chaos, and my task, using the physical properties of the material, is to turn this chaos into something one would like to look at. I won't be doing paintings in this technique anymore, so this painting is the one of the few unique pieces left. I'd strongly recommend framing the painting with acrylic or glass glazing to prevent the resin surface from scratches, finger prints etc.

Materials used:

resin, alkyd enamel
