Artwork description
Cut Loose celebrates freedom, movement and the anticipation of embracing new adventures. The image reflects those moments when everyday routines are set aside and we allow ourselves to wander, explore and simply enjoy being present.
The work was inspired by a new chapter in my own life and by the sense of possibility that accompanied my daily walks with my dog, Bruce. It forms part of my continuing exploration of companionship and the poetry of ordinary experience.
Original hand-printed linocut, signed and numbered by the artist.
Selected for Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Society of Wood Engravers, Small but Mighty and Society of Graphic Fine Arts exhibitions.
Materials used:
Caligo Safewash relief printing inks, Recycled acid free paper, hessian backed linoleum.
