Candlelight (2025) Original Oil Painting by Eliza Kołodziej

In this intimate still life, the glass candle holder becomes the focal point of the composition. While the surrounding darkness keeps the scene calm and contemplative, the glass catches the light, scattering delicate reflections and creating an almost imperceptible halo.

The glass absorbs the colours around it and refracts them across the table, becoming the most dynamic element of the painting. In contrast, the candle remains quiet and steady, its smooth, uninterrupted transitions of colour standing against the energetic texture of the glass.

The work explores the meeting of two opposing qualities – movement and stillness – within a single, meditative study.

The painting will be delivered in secure, multi-layered packaging, insured and tracked to ensure its safety during transport. Each work comes with a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity, confirming its originality.
