Bright Wildflowers (2022) Original Oil Painting by Tetiana Surshko

A whole meadow gathered into one clay jug: multicoloured wildflowers tumble upward in this large, joyful bouquet, each bloom outlined in confident black and scattered with flecks and splashes of paint, as if the colour couldn't quite stay inside the lines. It's my fauvist celebration of summer — bold, a little wild, and unapologetically happy.

I built it in expressive oil, letting the outlines and the loose, splattered background give the flowers movement and air. There's no single "correct" flower here; each one is its own character, its own colour note, playing together like a small orchestra of the garden. My aim was simple: to paint the feeling of walking into a room full of fresh-cut flowers on a bright morning.

At 80 × 60 cm this is a true statement piece — instant colour and good mood for a living room, kitchen, dining room or creative studio. An original oil painting on stretched canvas, painted edges, signed on the front and ready to hang. Carefully packed and shipped from my studio in Lisbon.
