‘Bound by honour’ is a work intended to continue the ‘Horse and Rider’ series.
It is a very special drawing depicting a very special bond between human and animal.
The title hints at its complexity. In a chivalric context, one thinks of the code of honour and duty to the crown. It also expresses the deep, unspoken bond between the rider and her horse. They are, in the truest sense of the word, a team, held together by an invisible bond and shared loyalty.
The picture was drawn on art paper using the highest quality coloured pencils. It measures 30 x 40 cm and is supplied in a simple plexiglass frame for protection.
