Blue Lights (2021) Original Mixed-media Painting by Abi Moffat

This original abstract painting has a light palette of blues and purple. I developed this acrylic painting alongside another painting (Purple Rain), in a period when I was experimenting with a brighter but limited colour palette. Normally my work involves many more layers but these two paintings came to be in one sitting. This piece focuses on the subtleties of colour and gesture and how they can evoke varied emotions.
