Blue IV (2020) Original Collage by Marina Buening

I did a series of little works in 2020, mostly on wood; some are on Canvas, all 20x20cm. They are all done in the same style and work very well together—one part I put first in red acrylic, and the other part I put in blue acrylic. Then I went over it with a whitish chalk, and then I played around with inks, adding some paper pieces as collage elements. They have a rather strong structure, softened by the inks and collage pieces. For me, these parts of the animals are always important. It is the connection to our natural part, our wild part.
