- BIDOUILLE
Original artwork description
BIDOUILLE is a cute and funny creature that looks a bit like a cat… or perhaps a gremlin?
It forms part of the Ostreides series, which explores the complexity of life in its quest for the form best suited to survival, as well as the wisdom of the mind applied to the transformation of matter.
It is made from a very special material: the wood of a natural fruit, the Badam, native to tropical Asia and Oceania, which, once dried, leaves a rigid, heart-shaped shell, combined with superfine wood cellulose.
After being bleached, this wood was sculpted using superfine wood cellulose, then painted and varnished.
Dimensions: H11 x W12 x D12 cm
Materials used:
calabash wood, surfine wood cellulose, blown glass, gourd wood, feather rachis
Details:
- Wood sculpture on Other
- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 11 x 12 x 11cm
- Signed on the back
- Style: Expressive and gestural
- Subject: Animals and birds
