I was drawn to the contrast between the rugged, sunlit cliffs and the vast openness of the sea stretching toward the distant horizon. The weather was calm, allowing subtle silvery light to soften the landscape while revealing the warm ochres, cool blues, and violet shadows hidden within the rocks. Working directly from life, I focused on preserving the freshness of the moment through expressive, textured brushstrokes that echo the natural rhythm of the coastline.

For me, this painting is about the feeling of standing at the edge of the land, where solid rock meets endless water and the landscape invites a quiet pause.
