This work explores the fluid boundary between living forms, identity, and perception. A Canada goose appears to emerge from an oversized flower, while feathers and petals seem to merge into one another. The familiar bird becomes part animal, part botanical presence, suggesting a world in which forms of life are interconnected rather than separate. Soft pastel colours contrast with the darker background and the goose’s direct gaze, creating both tenderness and intensity. For me, the painting reflects curiosity about consciousness, transformation, and coexistence — inviting us to reconsider where one living presence ends and another begins.
