Before Unfolding
from the series Floral Vibrations / The Thread Within
54 × 65 cm (21.3 × 25.6 in)

This work explores emergence as an internal state. White camellia buds appear against a near-white textured field, reducing the image to subtle shifts of density, contour, and presence.

Each bud acts as a contained point of potential – a form held in suspension rather than fully expressed. The painting focuses on the quiet moment before unfolding, when growth already exists but remains inward and restrained.

One partially opened flower introduces a slight transition within this stillness. It does not resolve the composition, but gently suggests movement and release.

Part of the Floral Vibrations series, this work reflects on beginnings, on the beauty and intensity of what is about to unfold. The invisible “thread” connecting these forms becomes a metaphor for becoming, intimacy, and silent transformation.
