I didn’t plan the colours. They arrived the way dusk does — without asking.
Painted with a palette knife on natural linen, this small work holds something larger than its size suggests. Rose, shadow, green, a bruised purple — and branches that go where they go. One of those paintings that surprises you while you’re making it.
