"Balancing Acts"
This original explores the tension between stability and uncertainty. A black woman stands calmly on the edge of a fractured, dreamlike landscape, surrounded by torn fragments of botanical imagery, patterned textiles, distant water, and shifting skies. Her colorful patchwork dress echoes the fragmented world around her, bringing together contrasting patterns, textures, and colors into something cohesive.

The precarious position of the figure suggests a moment of transition, where the ground may be uncertain but she remains centered. The work reflects the ongoing act of finding balance while moving through change, holding together different parts of ourselves and continuing forward even when the path ahead is unclear.
