In Korean folklore, a tiger is not born white. It turns white only after it has come through many trials. This color is not an inherent trait, but a status forged through long endurance. When a fundamental sense of safety is missing, a shelter has to be built from the ground up – out of anxiety and hyper-responsibility. Over time, the guardian of this shelter grows immense, taking the place of a natural home.

But being invulnerable is exhausting work. True quiet arrives not when the threat disappears, but when this constant tension simply collapses from fatigue. In this pause, there is real warmth and comfort. A refuge is finally found – only it is woven not from ease, but from the deep exhaustion of someone used to always being on guard.

Ships stretched and ready to hang, in a protective box.
