Original artwork description:

A large muted minimalist striped abstract landscape painting painted in plain simple minimal muted brown, ochre and cream abstract impressionist horizontal striped landscape painting. Subtle shades of muted autumnal colours are built up over many layers to create this abstract landscape artwork
Inspired by the flat and remote uninhabited area of the Caithness Flow country in the far north highlands of Scotland. The largest area of peat bog in Europe, covered in thousands of small peaty pools, as well as larger lochs and lochans, which shimmer in the distance among the flatness of the spongy heather and moss moorland, often with sweeping mist and soft rain rolling over it. A quiet and tranquil place devoid of any human touch, where the only sound is that of the wind in the grass and the occasional call of a moorland bird.
Memories of many autumn days rolled into one.
It may convey other scenes to others, a misty coastal seascape, tidal mudflats or maybe just straight brown horizontal lines and stripes.

Painted in browns, grey, white brown and yellow ochre.

Painted using quality artists acrylics on a large square format board with a varnish finish and contemporary white wooden frame with hanging fixtures ready to hang
