Original artwork description
I have used bright fauvist colours in warm and cold hues to dramatic landscape which could be a glimpse of a future extinction of humanity. If you look closely you will see all that has survived the apocalypse is a tiny tortie cat climbing the hills in the background! Our loyal companion animals survive us!
The painting style deliberately mimics the popular screen printed style but is painted entirely by hand. It is a tribute to painters such as Andy Warhol in style and Allen Jones in terms of colour.
This painting will be featured in my joint exhibition at “Life in a Gothic Village” at The Yard, Aylesford, Kent in December 2026.
