Among Stories captures a quiet moment of complete trust and withdrawal from the outside world.

A cat sleeps beside a stack of books, its body merging with the layered textures and colors of the surrounding interior. The books introduce a sense of memory, accumulated experience and private worlds, while the sleeping animal brings warmth and an unguarded physical presence.

I was interested in the contrast between the softness of the cat and the architectural rhythm of the books. The scene remains recognizable, yet parts of it dissolve into expressive brushwork and abstract color fields.

Rather than illustrating a story, the painting observes a small everyday moment in which silence, knowledge and companionship seem to coexist naturally.
