This original oil painting captures the magic of a Mediterranean sunset on the Amalfi Coast. A solitary sailboat rests beneath a dramatic sky, while golden sunlight spreads across the sea, turning the water into a shimmering reflection of orange, crimson and violet.

Through expressive palette knife work, rich impasto texture and vibrant colour, I wanted to capture the emotion of this fleeting moment — the freedom of the open sea, the warmth of the last sunlight and the quiet anticipation of evening.

For me, this painting is about the memories we bring home from our travels and the places we dream of returning to. A moment of Mediterranean beauty transformed into colour, light and emotion.
