Alba Parva (2026) Original Oil Painting by Regimantas Valiukas

Alba Parva is a small, intimate study of a single white rose, painted with close attention to the delicate structure of the petals, subtle shifts in warm and cool whites, and the quiet contrast against the dark background.

The painting was developed slowly, allowing light, texture and spatial depth to build gradually. I wanted the flower to feel present and almost tangible, while keeping the composition restrained and calm.

What makes this work special to me is its simplicity: a single natural form, isolated from distraction and given enough space to become the entire subject.
