Original artwork description:

I'm very influenced by the style found in the intricately decorated manuscripts of the Medieval times, in particular those showing flora and fauna.
I used bright hues to transform the scene into a lyrical universe of bold colour and repetitive pattern that creates a rhythmical decorative effect.

The lynx symbolises independence, discretion, beauty, and protection. Lynxes are native to Europe, Asia, and the northern part of North America, so they are important figures in the mythologies and folklore of many cultures in these regions.
