I painted this watercolor en plein air in Madrid, working directly from life. My inspiration was the brief, almost imperceptible moment just before the sun rose above the horizon—a magical transition that lasted only a few seconds.

The sky came alive with luminous orange, violet, and blue hues, while the city’s architecture reflected colors that seemed to exist only for that fleeting instant.
Even before sunrise, everything appeared to glow with its own quiet light. I wanted to preserve this unforgettable moment before it disappeared.

Please note that actual colors may vary slightly depending on your screen settings and device calibration.
