This series of paintings is dedicated to the Armenian Genocide.
A vast white silence dominates the upper canvas — empty, heavy, suffocating — while the lower registers burn with deep terracotta, crimson, and dark earth tones that recall scorched ground and broken settlements. A thin line of orange tears across the top like a severed horizon, and diagonal black lines slash through the composition with the force of irreversible loss. A single streak of red drips vertically — raw, unhealed. A dark silhouette of a steeple rises faintly to the right, a ghost of what was. Painted with searing honesty in oil on canvas by Senia Baloyan, this is memory as wound.
