12 Birds (2013) Screenprint by Dan Booth

'12 Birds' is a 4 colour original screen print depicting birds perching on telephone wires one evening. Printed in 4 shades of blue.

This print is derived from a photo I took in the rural village of Cullingworth in West Yorkshire (the village where I grew up).

This image started life as a digital photograph (I love taking photos and capturing places and scenes that inspire me). Through a combination of hard work, trickery and expertise I transform my photographs into screen printable artwork.

I print all my screen prints by hand with a lot of care and attention at West Yorkshire Print Workshop.

Colours: Dark blue, deep blue / green, sky blue, light blue.
