Artworks by George Koutsouris

George Koutsouris has exhibited in many group and solo shows in Denmark, and internationally, winning several awards. He has created a variety of works from kinetic to interactive, from flat to three-dimensional and from silent to sound-based works - as well as public installations. He holds an MFA from the R. Danish Academy of Fine Arts, as well as degrees in mechanical and acoustic engineering. This background is visible in his works, which are characterized the underlying extensive calculations, a long design process, and precision of craftsmanship. Koutsouris' art practice investigates the way people coexist, their relationship with nature, as well as the importance of probabilities and game in our everyday life. All that in a 'playful' way, that aims to address the broad audience, with simple and pure language, remaining as innocent and unpretentious as possible.
