Original artwork description
Are emotions random or rational? Can love be defined by algorithms?
These are some of the questions explored by this kinetic artwork, which engages with chance and probability. Seven dice are activated within a series of seemingly random phrases - sometimes one at a time, other times several together.
With a background in engineering, I am drawn to creating kinetic artworks that bring together multiple areas of expertise. This piece is carefully constructed using high-quality motors and electronic components. It operates safely and remains cool during use, with all necessary precautions taken into account.
Extensive research has gone into minimizing sound: its ultra-quiet, smooth operation makes the movement noticeable only upon closer observation, creating a subtle sense of surprise for the viewer and their guests. The mechanics and electronics are designed for durability, allowing the work to run reliably for years with minimal wear.
The artwork features two large mounting points on the back, allowing for easy wall installation using screws or strong nails.
