My work is inspired by television and comics from the 70s. For me, the 70s were a magical time, which almost inexhaustibly provides me with new angles in my visual language. There are many parallels with the present time, in politics, art and culture. Many themes in my work, such as the war between the sexes, drug use and hedonism overlap in both eras. And it is almost like the 70s never existed, as if it has just appeared in some colorful dream. The protagonists of my work are living in that colorful dream, a colorful chaos, which life often is.
