My work has two main drivers. The first is a celebration of my adopted homeland of Taiwan. My woodcuts in this series explore this beautiful place through the lens of an immigrant, often discovering charm in places locals overlook. The other series views the mysteries of existence through my interests in history, science, philosophy and perpetual learning. Many of my woodcuts are painted with watercolor, creating Varied Editions where each print is unique.

In addition to woodcuts I'm also a comic creator, having published three graphic novels, including two done entirely in woodcut. Since 2010, I've run the non-profit community art space Lei Gallery, fostering the arts and connecting the foreign and local communities in central Taiwan.
