This woodcut is a representation of the 'Emergent I', the idea that we are in one sense the sum of our influences. It's a self portrait consisting of the people who have impacted me the most, with references to the Universe, nervous system, technology, and other imagery from some of my previous pieces in this series. It contains several loved ones, in addition to my major artistic influences over the years. It's intended to be viewed with any side up.
