My work moves between expressive figuration and abstraction, exploring solitude, identity, memory and the unstable relationship between individuals and the spaces they inhabit. I am particularly interested in figures that appear suspended, displaced or psychologically absorbed, as if caught between presence and disappearance.

I usually begin with a figurative structure and gradually allow the image to fragment through colour, texture and layered surfaces. I work mainly in oil and mixed media, combining acrylic underpainting, glazes, impasto, pumice stone, collage and occasional drawn elements. I prefer surfaces that retain visible traces of the process rather than hiding them.

Colour plays both an emotional and structural role in my paintings. Contrasts between deep blues, reds, ochres and muted flesh tones help create tension and atmosphere.

My influences range from Goya, Sorolla and Velázquez to Egon Schiele, Lucian Freud, Francis Bacon and Edward Hopper, alongside philosophy, music and contemporary ideas about memory, identity and modern uncertainty.
