Painted both on-site at Boerner Botanical Gardens and in studio. Features a pale yellow peony flower. The background is created with drips and splashes of water-based casein paint, and glazed over with oil. The flower is painted with both brush and palette knife, and the shapes of the petals are enhanced by the texture of the paint.
