Winter White was shot in the dreariest of winters, in January, a real 'down' time for many of us. Featuring white Tulips, Hellebores, Ranunculus, Skimmia and Narcissi, the appearance of winter flowers was a real joy. This print, for me, speaks of optimism and joy in the smallest things at the darkest of times.

My work is created by arranging flowers repeatedly until I find a pleasing composition and then photographed traditionally using natural light. Digital adjustments are made to optimise the shadows, blacks and highlights.
