I worked with . This was a school project called "The human heart longs for love and geometric shapes…"
The human heart longs for love and geometric shapes... To be honest I hardly understood what this was about, but the first thing that came to my mind was cubism!
I wanted to work inspired by this style and developed the piece with this in mind.
I admit at the beginning that the work was pure experiment. I decided that I would work with a human face only and to build a features using only straight lines. As a result, I received the expressions I liked.
Later came the idea to make a composition combining cubism and realism. The idea is to contrast the ideal cubic forms and nature, where there is no ideal geometric shapes and lines. Nevertheless, it works perfectly together creating a harmonious composition.
