I wanted to paint that feeling when there is so much life inside you that it cannot stay quiet.

I didn’t want everything to be perfect or calm. I wanted freedom — colours appearing unexpectedly, shapes growing into one another, something tender next to something bold.

Maybe that’s why this painting reminds me of summer. Not a particular place, but the feeling of it — warmth, flowers, light, a little chaos, and that wonderful sense that life is happening right now.

For me, this painting is about allowing yourself to feel everything and simply enjoy being alive.
