Wide Open Plain I (2022) Original Acrylic Painting by Ansgar Dressler

£2,049.62

A vast, open plain stretches beneath an enormous, brooding sky. Layers of slate gray, silver and stormy blue-black drift and drip down the canvas, while a narrow band of magenta, plum and burgundy hugs the horizon, punctuated by thin, tall drips like distant trees or towers. The extra-wide format pulls the eye along the horizon and gives the scene a calm, almost cinematic stillness, with a hint of the storm to come.

An extra-large statement piece for a spacious living room, office, lobby or above a sofa or bed.

Unique painting using high-quality acrylic colors on professional gallery canvas stretched over solid wooden 4.5 x 3.0 cm stretcher bars (painting depth: 3 cm); canvas is stapled on the back.
Glossy varnish is applied to seal and protect the painting, and to make the colors appear even more lively.
Sides are painted, thus no frame necessary – the painting is ready-to-hang with a hanging wire attached.
Signed on the front and back.
Comes with Certificate of Authenticity.

Please note: In-context images are for display purposes and do not necessarily show the artwork to scale. Refer to the dimensions section for the actual size of the painting. If you would like to see how this painting would look at your wall, just send me a photo of the wall/room and I can “photoshop” it onto the wall (approximately to scale of course), at no cost and without any obligation.
