This piece was inspired by a black-and-white photograph from the early 20th century—a moment from another era that I adapted and reimagined through my own artistic lens. I was captivated by the atmosphere, the fashion, and the poetic feel of the scene, so I decided to bring it to life in color, with a touch of surrealism and whimsy.

“19th Strolling in Style” is a dreamy, surrealist watercolor capturing the elegance and nostalgia of a seaside stroll. Seven elongated figures stand in shallow water, dressed in striped vintage swimsuits and airy summer garments, their oversized sun hats floating like soft clouds above. Gentle washes of blue, violet, gray, and sandy beige create a tranquil, rhythmic mood. Each posture hints at individuality, quiet joy, and a sense of togetherness.

The minimalist harmony of sky, sea, and sand leaves space for imagination—turning an ordinary beach walk into a meditation on leisure, memory, and timeless summer style.
