Where the Wild Returns
A quiet reflection on the places we leave behind — and the wildness that slowly finds its way back.
Where the Wild Returns explores the relationship between memory, nature, and forgotten spaces. Layers of acrylic and oil pastel create a textured, weathered surface, echoing landscapes shaped by time, neglect, and renewal.
The work is inspired by the idea that nature does not disappear when we leave. It waits, grows through the cracks, reclaims what was once built, and creates something new from what remains.
There is a sense of both melancholy and hope in the painting — a reminder that returning to the wild can also mean returning to something essential within ourselves.
