wheat fields (2026) Original Oil Painting by franco orsi

The artwork features a sprawling field of golden-yellow wheat in the foreground and midground, punctuated by scattered touches of red, resembling wild poppies. A dynamic, diagonal path or clearing cuts through the field, leading the viewer's eye toward a dense, dark line of trees and foliage that stretches across the horizon. The style is heavily expressionistic with a thick impasto technique, characterized by raw, gestural brushstrokes and visible palette knife marks that give the surface a rugged, energetic, and tactile quality.
