Reality and fiction merge in this surreal city. A river flows toward the viewer through the streets of this abstract city. In contrast to the colorful facades of the high-rise buildings, the river and the horizon radiate tranquility. For me, the image and the title express my longing for peace and nature in what is often a hectic and stressful city life. The texture of acrylic, oil pastel, sand, and marble powder creates more depth, shadows, and light effects.
The sides of the painting are painted so that it can be hung without a frame. The painting is signed on the front and back and ready to hang. The surface of the painting has a protective varnish coating with UV protection.
