Woman eats watermelon and dreams about big love.
The work evokes a sense of a light, fleeting reality—as if the image emerges only to dissolve immediately into a flow of colour. The woman’s face is rendered softly and with care, yet partially ‘washed away’ by layers of blue and ochre, creating the effect of a memory or a dream. A contrasting slice of watermelon serves as an anchor — a bright, sensual, almost tangible element amidst this fluidity. It embodies physicality, flavour, summer — the very thing that prevents the image from dissolving entirely. The figure’s gaze is directed to the side, as if she were immersed in her own thoughts rather than in the moment. Overall, the work resonates as a reflection on desire, memory and the fleeting nature of experience.
The picture has an abstract monochrome background with a light texture. In the background, there are minimal gradations of yellow. The glossy surface of the painting has little possibility of specular reflection. This picture is ready to hang. The edges of the picture are painted over and this painting does not need a frame.
The color in the photo may be slightly different from the color of the picture in real life!
