Warm milky depth (2026) Original Oil Painting by Marina Skromova

Marina conceived this work as an ode to tenderness and luxury, blending milky, beige, and gray tones with pearlescent accents and delicate gold leaf. She began by building up the surface, layering texture paste to create a relief reminiscent of soft waves or clouds. Next, she introduced pearlescent pigments that shift between silvery and warm hues depending on the lighting, finally completing the composition with subtle touches of gold leaf that evoke the glint of sunlight. The result is an abstract piece that both soothes and captivates, inviting the viewer to engage with its depth.

In these works, I work a lot with my hands and usually end up in paint from head to toe.
And this simply enchants me!
