WAR (2025) Original Sculpture by Cezary Stachura

WAR is an aluminium sculpture depicting a deformed dove of peace. A bird that should symbolise hope and reconciliation is presented as a wounded, heavy and fragile creature, stripped of its innocence.

The metallic surface reflects light while simultaneously emphasising the coldness and brutality of war. The outstretched wings no longer suggest free flight; instead, they resemble a gesture of helplessness, an attempt to escape violence and chaos. The work is a personal reflection on how war destroys not only bodies and places, but also symbols, dreams and our sense of security.

The sculpture was handmade from aluminium. Its raw, irregular surface preserves traces of the creative process and intensifies the impression of destruction. This is a unique original artwork intended for indoor display.
