Waiting III (2024) Etchings & engravings by Michaela Wheater

This original print titled 'Waiting III' is a two plate/two colour print. It is an etching with spit bite aquatint. It also uses a second plate with cut out stencil shapes and drypoint additions. This is the fourth print from a small limited edition of 5 printed on Somerset soft white 300gsm.
Using myself as reference it is a portrait expressing emotion and is part of a small series which takes 'Waiting' as a title.
This print was awarded two prizes in the prestigious Ironbridge Printmaking Competition, 2025.
