Vivid Dreamer (2020) Original Wood Sculpture by Lee Forester

Based on a live model in my studio, this sculpture is carved from English Lime-Wood. The body of this sculpture is finished with artist's gesso and the deer head is highlighted with acrylic paint, then the entire sculpture has been varnished to protect it from dust and fingerprints and to achieve a matt finish.

Mounted on a cube made from Eucalyptus plywood this sculpture is intended to be wall mounted and the base is drilled to enable this. However it can also be displayed as a self standing sculpture if preferred.

Being carved by hand with traditional tools each sculpture is completely unique. Both the carving and the base are signed by the artist and a Certificate of Authenticity is provided with this sculpture.
