Vertical (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Grâce Pégéron

40 x 50 x 1.7cm (unframed)

£1,514.24

This painting started with the simple pleasure of watching two strong vertical marks answer each other across a field of color. One rises solid and dense from the lower band of a deep orange, rooted like something that knows exactly where it stands. The other comes in from above, angled and alive, carrying a flash of green as if it brought a little sky energy with it.

Pink and orange have always felt related to me - close neighbors that can share a canvas without one needing to dominate. Putting them together creates a kind of charged ground where these two impulses can meet and recognize each other.
What makes it special is that moment of contact. Nothing is forced. The marks don’t collide or merge; they simply occupy the same space and hold the tension between earth and inspiration. Acrylic on canvas keeps every stroke visible and the surface lively. It is ready to hang.

I hope it gives the sense of two different energies finding a way to stand together and still feel complete.
