Created on location during my 2018 trip to Venice, this plein air painting depicts a view of the Rio del Malcanton canal, capturing the quiet atmosphere and warm light of the Venetian waterways.
The artwork is made on Kroyter kraft paper (40 × 30 cm / 15.75 × 12 in) using professional-grade Sennelier and Van Gogh oil pastels, chosen for their rich texture, vibrant pigmentation, and lasting color stability.
The painting has been exhibited at Matite in Viaggio (Venice, Italy, 2019) and Festival Rendez-Vous du Carnet de Voyage (Clermont-Ferrand, France, 2018).
