This series of botanical pool paintings are an invitation to escape — to step beyond the everyday and immerse yourself in a world of shimmering pools, lush tropical foliage and endless summer.

The layers of colour and foliage create a sense of depth and immersion, drawing you gently into the scene and inviting you to pause, breathe and lose yourself in the moment.

They evoke the quiet, dreamlike feeling of being on holiday: sunlight dancing across water, warm air, lazy afternoons and that wonderful sense that time has slowed down. Perhaps they transport you to a favourite memory, or somewhere you’ve yet to discover.

Each piece is a celebration of summer, joy and the places we go — both in our memories and in our imagination.

A tropical paradise unfolds in a riot of colour, foliage and light. Exotic palms, flowering plants and sculptural cacti gather around a luminous golden clearing before dissolving into a pool of turquoise blue. Dense botanical forms frame the composition, drawing the viewer deeper into this fantastical landscape. Vibrant colour and expressive brushwork transform nature into an immersive dreamscape — a place of warmth, freedom and summer escapism.

…my new series of botanicals explores immersion into my dream botanical world in more depth.. I really want the viewer to feel full involvement with this series… to look up in wonder and lose yourself in the tropical foliage.
