- Untitled #101
Original artwork description
A young man stands at the entrance of a residential building, looking toward a veiled figure accompanied by a black dog. The scene is set against the familiar architecture of a post-Soviet apartment block, framed by the stairwell and the geometry of the surrounding buildings.
The painting transforms an ordinary encounter into something ambiguous and psychologically charged. The contrast between the everyday urban environment and the dark, almost ceremonial presence of the veiled figure creates a sense of unease, distance and suspended expectation. The dog reinforces this tension, appearing both protective and watchful.
The work reflects Pasmur Rachuiko’s recurring interest in moments when familiar reality becomes strange and unstable, and when ordinary urban spaces begin to acquire the atmosphere of a vision or ritual.
Shipping: Due to the large size of the artwork, the painting will be removed from its stretcher bars and shipped rolled in a reinforced tube. After delivery, the buyer will need to have the canvas re-stretched by a local framer.
