Original artwork description
I find some graffiti and street art to be really beautiful—especially when on old weathered surfaces like this somewhat rusted metal door. And I’ve been wanting to incorporate it into my work for a while and this piece was the perfect reason to.
The beech tree branch with its bright yellow leaves was positioned to convey the interplay of the natural world with a cartoon in street art. The bird provides a slightly humorous slant to the painting. At least it made me smile as I painted!
