This painting is about that feeling when everything seems to come alive at once. It’s inspired by those moments where the world feels brighter, lighter and full of energy, as though you’re completely inside the experience and don’t want it to end.
The lower flowers are painted in oil, with a more realistic and detailed approach that brings a sense of softness and presence to each bloom. In contrast, the upper tulips are created in acrylic, painted in a more expressive style with splattered and gestural marks that introduce movement and spontaneity across the canvas. Together, these elements create a balance between control and freedom, stillness and motion.
There’s a strong sense of light and openness running through the piece, like a field in full bloom under a wide summer sky.
For me, this work is about love, connection and that joyful feeling of being completely present, where everything around you feels happy.
